66,000 miles for a Toyota is inconsequential.
When deciding whether a price is fair, the quality of the vehicle must be taken account of.
The 2005 Toyota RAV4 has Consumer Reports' Much-Better-Than-Average reliability ratings in the following categories:
Engine Major
Engine Minor
Engine Cooling
Transmission Major
Transmission Minor
Drive System
Electrical System
Climate System
Sustpension
Exhaust
Body Hardware
Audio System.
And the 2005 Toyota RAV4 has not one Worse-Than-Average or Much-Worse-Than-Average reliability rating in any category.
Contrast this with the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox which has Worse-Than-Average reliability ratings in 5 categories and Much-Worse-Than-Average reliability ratings in 4 categories. Here 66,000 miles may be far too many.
Also, AutoOnInfo.net's detailed reliability and durability studies suggest that a typical 19-year-old Toyota may be as troublesome to own as a typical 3-year-old Chevrolet.
Nonetheless, you should always inspect a used vehicle for abuse.

Where do you live? '05 RAVs going for $18K with 66K on it for? You can do better. I live in So. Cal and Autotrader.com has '05 RAVs with less miles on them going for $15-16K and a few of them are Toyota Certified Used Cars sold at Toyota dealers. RAV4s are extremely reliable vehicles and66K miles is nothing on a Toyota, but many are going for that price (with a lot less miles) . There are better deals out there if you keep looking.

Nope - 66,000 miles is not too much for a used SUV. You should go for it!!! You are getting a good deal for a 2005 SUV!

That may be a tad too much, probably should go for about $16,000. And make sure it is Toyota Certified as well, otherwise I wouldn't do it.
