if your starter is going out than all you have to do is locate the starter and hit it a few times with a non metallic item. should start right up. This works for quite a while to save you the $200 of a new starter. If its the celenoid then the starter is not getting any power and you will need to replace both.

Check your grounds. The easy way would be to pick up a grounding cable from a part store and run a new ground from one of the starter bolts to neg. terminal of bat. It's cheap and can only help. On older vehicles the small factory grounds corrode away. If it doesn't fix the problem try the soliniod. Start with the cheapest thing first, if it does turn out to be the starter, you can be confident the rest of the starting system wont give you any problems a week later.

Could be the alternator or the starter. Doesn't sound like the battery because if it was it wouldn't start at all. I would have it checked out if I were you by a professional mechanic you trust.

More then likely, it's loose connections at the starter or battery. It could also be your neutral safety switch.

It is simply a loose connection of the cutoffs of the ignition you can clean the points with the electronic cleaner

My guess is corrosion on the battery terminals. Remove and clean THOROUGHLY inside and out. Replace TIGHT, and I bet your problem will disappear.....

Sounds like your solenoid is bad. Does it click when you try to start it and not turn over?
