It wasn't selling but the Echo platform is still around.
The Echo engine and chasis can be found in the Scion xA and xB and also in the new Toyota Yaris.

Actually, they looked great, and were great. It's very disappointing that they've been discontinued. We ended up getting a Ford Focus, but the Honda Fit looks kind of like the Echo. Sigh.
