2004 Toyota 4runner v6. The VSC Trac,Trac off and the check engine light are on. Trouble code P2238 was found and the problem was a faulty O2 sensor. I replace the O2 sensor clear the codes but the when I start to drive the truck the VSC Trac and Trac lights come back on. Does anyone know how to fix this please?

You need to replace your Air fuel ration sensor. This is the sensor in front of the catalytic converter ( closest to the engine). I would definitely recommend buying a factory part, I have seen a few problems with aftermarket sensors. Cost about $250 just for part...

P2238 shows as a problem found at the A/F Sensor - Bank 1 Sensor 1 -(drivers side closest to the motor)

It is not an O2 Sensor. What did you replace and where did you buy it? Always use the original manufacture part. Aftermarket parts are junk.

What code did you get for the VSC & Trac?

I had the 02 Sensor replaced 3 times and the VSC Trac/VSC Off, check engine light still comes on. The garage that replaced it said that it is a computer issue and that all is well otherwise. Is there a way to just turn it off if it is a computer problem?
