What is the definition of 'Yaris'?

Question

Toyota car names usually have some kind of meaning... Avalon is a mythical place, Corolla is part of a flower, Camry comes from the Japanese word for crown, etc.
I have tried looking on wikipedia and through yahoo and all I find is stuff about the car.
I am just wondering what the name means.

I have a Yaris and she is indeed beautiful and elegant.

nothing, although it has been the name for the european version of the toyota echo since 99. so it does have some background.
