I am thinking about buying a 2001 RAV4 that has 41k miles on it. It is the limited edition. Does anyone have RAVS and do you like them. Please give me pros and cons. Do you think 11000 is a good price for that car (owner wants to sell for that price)how much do you spend on gas a week for rav4. I am thinking about buying one but I am a little scared about the gas prices. Right now I have a two door civic which in CT it costs 16.89 to fill it up. (regular 1.69$) Are you satisfied with your RAV4.

I chose the Honda CR-V when I had that issue back in 2000. Honestly, it's rather small even compared to the CR-V and it cost a bit more when new too. I would recommend a CR-V or the more powerful 2004 or newer RAV. If power and the size isn't an issue, you'll be happy. RAVs are amazingly reliable, get decent gas mileage (great mpg for even a small SUV) and they are kinda sporty to drive. It wont disappoint you.

First off, it's a Toyota. This means that parts can get a little expensive, but on the upside, you will RARELY have to do any work on it. The price is a little high. I wouldn't pay more than $9,000 for it. The NADA retail price is probably what the owner is going by, but he won't get that, especially in a slow economy.

Fuel shouldn't be an issue. All the 2001 RAV-4's were 4-cylinders, and should get pretty good mileage. It's not really fair to compare it to a 2-door civic when they're two different styles of cars. If you want a bigger, nicer, more capable vehicle, you'll have to sacrifice a little on gas mileage.

Get the RAV4. Its reliable, looks nicer, has more room, and gets good gas mileage (I think RAV4's gas mileage is better than Equinox's) You also have a choice between a 4 cylinder engine or a V6 and the sound system is very niice. (I also think the Rav4's sound system is better than the Equinox's)

ONE OF THE BEST OUT THERE. Yes, it's a good deal.
